Since turning 4 mths old Asher has started rolling over from tummy to back and grabbing and holding onto his toys.

Are Christians Pessimists?
Remembering the "we all deserve hell" sign, I'm wondering why "Christians" look at the wonderful gift of life through a pessimists eyes. Should life not be looked upon with wonder and amazement?
Should the sign not read we all deserve heaven? As all the "christians" pointed out all sins will be forgiven through repentance. Why look at the punishment rather than the reward?
I know a sign would that stated we all deserve heaven could make a non-believer stop and think "really? I deserve heaven after all my transgressions? I think I'll look into this "heaven" deal".
Anyway, there's my 2 cents!

Breast feeding
Asher must be going through a growth spurt! He's nursing a lot. While he's eating he's been circling his hand on my chest sometimes twirling it in my bra.

Getting Exercise & Sleep!
We have definitely found a sleep rhythm. At waking, I change Asher's diaper & plop him in his bouncy seat in front of the tv. I play him a Your Baby Can Read video, during which he usually talks and laughs throughout. I make myself coffee and breakfast.
After the video, its either tummy/play time or mommy time. After about an hour of being awake its nap time. I nurse him to sleep & watch the mom show. He sleeps anywhere from 1-2 hrs.
When he wakes up again its tummy/play/mommy time for 1-2 hrs. During the second nap of the day is when I usually exercise! Sometimes he won't sleep & I'll do half the video with him laughing at me and the other half later on in the day, when he's alseep or his dad is home.
In January I lost 6-7 lbs, & nothing since. I know I shouldn't be too worried cause Asher is only 4 mths old now. I've quit eating dairy, eggs, gassy, & spicy foods cause some or all affect Asher's tummy. I would like to be able to quit sugar next. Is it possible? I don't know. Starting April 1st, I will try to quit unnatural sugar. Meaning, I will still eat fruit & such, but no added sugars like pies or pop.

Controversy in Winkler
I posted this picture on my facebook page and got many responses. It is great that people are strong in their convictions just it gets a little nasty when personal attacts start happening!
Show this sign to people affected by the earthquake, tsunami, & nuclear power plant in Japan. I wonder what their response would be?
Hear ye, hear ye... (read sign) This sign is posted on Hwy 14 when you drive towards Winkler from the East! This is pretty sick if you ask me! Shame!Hear ye, hear ye... (read sign) This sign is posted on Hwy 14 when you drive towards Winkler from the East! This is pretty sick if you ask me! Shame!
Susan Stein I agree!
Neil Johnson SINNERS!!!!
Scott Rosenberger Is that sign even legal?
George Krahn The sign should be legal - freedom of speech in Canada.
Suzi Giesbrecht That's so weird my reaction to this sign was so different!! I read this thinking I DO DESERVE HELL! I have sinned against a creator who loved me enough to send his only son to earth to be brutally beaten and hung on a cross to die for OUR sins! And if I believe in him and that he died for me I will not perish but have everlasting life! John 3:16. I am deeply moved by the love God showed for us in doing that even though yes we do deserve hell he has given us a way out!! Now that is love to me in its greatest and purest form!
Susie Friesen There is freedom of speech in Canada but there are some things that should be inappropriate. What would you say if someone put up a giant sign of a penis?
George Krahn So you don't think you deserve to go to hell, Susie? LOL (Just kidding, you know what I mean.) I agree with Suzi G. I deserve to go to hell, but now I don't have to. :-)
Neil Johnson The snow hill in Winnipeg had a giant penis painted on it last year, as the snow melted, it went limp.
Suzi Giesbrecht I think salvation and a penis are TWO VERY different things Susie. I pray for you to change your mind about this before it's late!
Neil Johnson so freedom of speech should be selective depending on what a person believes?
George Krahn I love thought provoking discussions like this. Any more interesting signs around Winkler? :-)
Susie Friesen Bottom line is that this sign is inappropriate!
Neil Johnson There is a sign about the fish fry on Friday at the Happy. Anyone have a problem with tasty fish?
Susie Friesen I do too George. I love being an a controversial opinion.
Susie Friesen Smells like fish. Tastes like chicken.
Suzi Giesbrecht You talk about freedom of speech Susie and then you remove my one comment I made! Even though you earased it I hope you take it to heart! In the Bible it talks about earthquakes and natural disasters happening at the end of times and it is happening so I hope you take the comment you removed of mine to heart! Before it is too late! I care about you or I wouldn't have responded at all! God Bless!
Susie Friesen I like her too.
Rachel Anne Froese do you not believe in the Bible, or is the sign offensive because of the way they worded it?
Susie Friesen It's neither here nor there! I wanted to see what kind of comments I could arouse in people. This sign, the way it is worded, tells everyone we deserve hell because Jesus loved us and died for us. I do not judge others on my beliefs and I ...expect the same respect!!
Rachel Anne Froese no worries, I am not judging you. Just curious. I am not a Religious type who points fingers at others just for having a difference in beliefs.
Rachel Anne Froese Not saying all Religious people point fingers, just to clarify :)
Dana Leanne Bergman Sign is effective. Getting people to think. Have no issue with the sign or with fish fry sign. If it confuses someone, they should investigate the website.
Henry Harder That sighn is only for the people who don't beleav in it right! Kinda stuped if you ask me.
John Princazz Friesen I'm going to put m two cent in. First off this sign used to say "we are all going to hell". How do they know you deserve hell. Do they know you personally, do they know you have expected Jesus. No this Statement is wrong. I should say It is... our belief that if you have not expected Jesus you are going to hell. This sign just says you deserve hell. According to the bible if you accept Jesus into your heart, have faith in him, and have him live through you, You do not deserve hell. But the sign is generalizing that everyone deserves hell.
Susie Friesen George, I posted more signs for debate!
Joelle Marie Jesus died for us because he knew we were all sinners. I'm a little rusty on what the bible says, BUT I'm pretty sure our sins are what he died for in the first place. It also says in the bible that he will forgive everyone as long as they repent. You could be a prisoner who murdered 50 women, raped and killed everyone of them. And if you were to repent and believe in the Lord, you will go to heaven. This sign is horrible. It actually pisses me off. There's my 2 cents.
Henry Enns The truth of it is not the debate here but rather the approach. This sign is like walking up to a random stranger and yelling in their face "You deserve to go to hell!". If you don't think that's the appropriate way to approach a non-believer than neither is this sign.
Dana Leanne Bergman Theologically we all deserve Hell. There is no one good, not one. We are born sinners which is easy to see in the world around us. You don't have to teach a child to disobey, they know how to do that, you teach them to obey, share, love an...d give. Never have I learned more about how inadequate I am as a role model than since I became a mother. Accepting Christ does not mean that you don't deserve it, it means that you escape it and have freedom from damnation. I sin, I deserve Hell, but am so grateful that I have have a future in Heaven, and not because I deserve it. God's mercy is so that we don't get what we deserve, His grace is so we get so much more than we deserve. It is by these that I can rely on the promise of Heaven. But it's important to remember that God does not "owe" us Heaven, he offers it. Sometimes God has to yell at me to get my attention. I'm not saying we should go out and yell at everyone around us, but a well timed message is not without it's merits. Eternity can strike rather quickly and sometimes without warning.See More
John Princazz Friesen Henry that was the exactly the point I was trying to make. You just shortened it up(lol). Only God has the right to judge me. So there for only God has the right to tell me I deserve hell. Personally I would never knowingly tell someone t...hey deserve hell. Hell is a horrible, horrible, horrible place. There is no love in me telling you that you deserve hell. I may tell you that in Christianity that if you do not except Jesus, you will go to hell. I feel that the statement you deserve hell is filled with hate. You must have alot hate toward towards someone to tell them they deserve hell, considering what the Bible says that hell is.See More
Mike Blume The Bible teaches that all of us deserved hell, since deserving things is based upon what we DO. And what all of us did was sin, and hell is for sinners. But salvation is not about what WE do, since we deserved hell for what we did. But God showed his grace in giving us salvation that we did not deserve. So God gave us something we never deserved... salvation, for those who believe.
Nancy Wiebe Gods word is life, and truth. When I read that,I stop to thank God for what He has done for us.God wants no one to perish but all to be saved.
Nancy Peters Ok I personally don't like the sign myself and I am VERY passionate about seeing people saved, I am a strong believer in bringing the LOVE of Christ Jesus to people. :)
Anna Fehr very well said john, its just wrong for them to put that up iam a very strong believer and know that he died for us so we dont have to go to hell, i might agree that we deserve it but ya thats like some stranger coming up to u and saying u deserve hell. dont like it.
Susie Friesen People who go to church on Sunday then turn around and judge others on Monday deserve hell. And that sign just proves how hypocratic this area really is. And Suz G. You don't need to pray for me. Pray for yourself that you may be less judgemental towards others.
Dani Peters This sign is not acceptable, the people who put it up should think of what's socially acceptable and leave the; "You're going to hell" speech for their own church! Winkler just has too many churches and you people need to learn that some of us see a sign like that are directly insulted. I do not put up with being
Dani Peters I have no nice words for any of this discussion, because I know that people around here seek out reasons to preech. Don't be so damned afraid of what's different.
Trudy Befort It's through is Jesus' atonement that we are saved, NOTHING we can do can nullify our sin, except for our acceptance of Jesus' sacrifice. We DO deserve hell, it's as simple as that, we sinned. Sometimes I feel the God is not only asking, bu...t BEGGING us to believe in him, and on the last day I know that many will be wishing that there had been more signs like this one to convict them. Will this sign offend, SURE WILL, but I'm getting real tired of just hearing Christians water down the Truth when there's so little time left in each persons life to accept. Jesus mentions hell more than he mentions heaven, so you know it's serious business. When I read this sign I just felt the same way as Susie G. I'm sad to see you're comments Susie F, I didn't know you felt this way about God, I will pray.
Susie Friesen I'll pray for your ignorance as well.
Trudy Befort Who are you planning on praying to if I may be as so bold to ask? lol..
Susie Friesen People, I put this picture up for discussion. Not for personal attacts! Shame on you so called "Christians". You don't deserve to call yourselves that. SHAME!!!
Susie Friesen The sign is right. You do deserve hell.
