Suzi Giesbrecht That's so weird my reaction to this sign was so different!! I read this thinking I DO DESERVE HELL! I have sinned against a creator who loved me enough to send his only son to earth to be brutally beaten and hung on a cross to die for OUR sins! And if I believe in him and that he died for me I will not perish but have everlasting life! John 3:16. I am deeply moved by the love God showed for us in doing that even though yes we do deserve hell he has given us a way out!! Now that is love to me in its greatest and purest form!

Susie Friesen It's neither here nor there! I wanted to see what kind of comments I could arouse in people. This sign, the way it is worded, tells everyone we deserve hell because Jesus loved us and died for us. I do not judge others on my beliefs and I ...expect the same respect!!

John Princazz Friesen I'm going to put m two cent in. First off this sign used to say "we are all going to hell". How do they know you deserve hell. Do they know you personally, do they know you have expected Jesus. No this Statement is wrong. I should say It is... our belief that if you have not expected Jesus you are going to hell. This sign just says you deserve hell. According to the bible if you accept Jesus into your heart, have faith in him, and have him live through you, You do not deserve hell. But the sign is generalizing that everyone deserves hell.

Joelle Marie Jesus died for us because he knew we were all sinners. I'm a little rusty on what the bible says, BUT I'm pretty sure our sins are what he died for in the first place. It also says in the bible that he will forgive everyone as long as they repent. You could be a prisoner who murdered 50 women, raped and killed everyone of them. And if you were to repent and believe in the Lord, you will go to heaven. This sign is horrible. It actually pisses me off. There's my 2 cents.
Henry Enns The truth of it is not the debate here but rather the approach. This sign is like walking up to a random stranger and yelling in their face "You deserve to go to hell!". If you don't think that's the appropriate way to approach a non-believer than neither is this sign.
Dana Leanne Bergman Theologically we all deserve Hell. There is no one good, not one. We are born sinners which is easy to see in the world around us. You don't have to teach a child to disobey, they know how to do that, you teach them to obey, share, love an...d give. Never have I learned more about how inadequate I am as a role model than since I became a mother. Accepting Christ does not mean that you don't deserve it, it means that you escape it and have freedom from damnation. I sin, I deserve Hell, but am so grateful that I have have a future in Heaven, and not because I deserve it. God's mercy is so that we don't get what we deserve, His grace is so we get so much more than we deserve. It is by these that I can rely on the promise of Heaven. But it's important to remember that God does not "owe" us Heaven, he offers it. Sometimes God has to yell at me to get my attention. Mike Blume The Bible teaches that all of us deserved hell, since deserving things is based upon what we DO. And what all of us did was sin, and hell is for sinners. But salvation is not about what WE do, since we deserved hell for what we did. But God showed his grace in giving us salvation that we did not deserve. Trudy Befort It's through is Jesus' atonement that we are saved, NOTHING we can do can nullify our sin, except for our acceptance of Jesus' sacrifice. We DO deserve hell, it's as simple as that, we sinned. Sometimes I feel the God is not only asking, bu...t BEGGING us to believe in him, and on the last day I know that many will be wishing that there had been more signs like this one to convict them. Will this sign offend, SURE WILL, but I'm getting real tired of just hearing Christians water down the Truth when there's so little time left in each persons life to accept. Jesus mentions hell more than he mentions heaven, so you know it's serious business. When I read this sign I just felt the same way as Susie G.
